The evening included a virtual Happy Hour with Harold Holzer, author and scholar of Abraham Lincoln and the political culture of the American Civil War Era, followed by a discussion via Zoom with Holzer and Historian Christian McWhirter on Holzer’s latest book, The Presidents vs. the Press: The Endless Battle Between the White House and the Media- from the Founding Fathers to Fake News.
