How can filmmakers balance creativity, historical accuracy, and accountability in the age of AI? Join this dynamic conversation on how AI is reshaping documentary storytelling and how creators are navigating bias, authorship, and evolving guidelines.

Chris Hastings is the President and CEO of WXXI Public Media, bringing a rich background from his previous role as Executive Producer and Editor-in-Chief of GBH’s WORLD Channel in Boston. There, he championed diverse perspectives through acclaimed series like America ReFramed, Local USA, and Doc World. His award-winning work—including Peabody, duPont-Columbia, and Emmy honors—reflects his commitment to independent film and emerging talent. At WXXI, he leads with a vision to use public media to reflect and connect all communities in Rochester and beyond.

Louise Rosen, Managing Director, Louise Rosen Ltd., provides a range of services to filmmakers, including consulting guidance on project development, editorial review at all stages of production, strategies for fundraising, distribution, and festival planning, and sales agency for project financing and distribution. Her projects have included Oscar, Emmy, and Sundance award-winning films.

Jason Steinhauer is a bestselling author and public historian operating at the intersection of tech, politics, media and history. He is the author of History, Disrupted: How Social Media & the World Wide Web Have Changed the Past; former Global Fellow at The Wilson Center; Senior Fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute; and Founding Director of the Lepage Center for History in the Public Interest.
